Zenoti vs AestheticsPro: structured charting on one patient record
Zenoti records injectables as structured fields and links before and after photos to each visit. Booking, memberships, payments and calls connect to the same patient record, and payroll runs in the same platform, so the chart and the front desk work from one place.

Zenoti vs AestheticsPro: the problems medspa teams switch to solve
Both platforms book, chart, bill memberships and take payments. The difference shows up around the chart: the call nobody answers, the member who wants a pause, the payroll that runs somewhere else, and the move itself.
Zenoti vs AestheticsPro in brief
The short version, if you only read one thing on this page.
- For medspas, the core difference: Zenoti runs structured injectable charting, before and after photos, booking, memberships, payments and phones on one patient record, with payroll in the same platform, and its AI Receptionist answers missed calls.
- AestheticsPro offers a large library of ready-made E-Record forms, integrated e-prescribing and a Kai AI suite, and as of September 2026 lists its AI phone and text agents as coming soon.
- Both cover online booking, point of sale, memberships, inventory, telehealth and multiple locations.
- On Capterra, Zenoti holds 4.4 out of 5 from 1,291 reviews, with 4.6 for customer service, as of September 2026.
The problem
Charts that can't tell you which lot went into which patient
Notes typed into free-text forms, consents in one folder, photos on a phone. When you need units, lot numbers or last session's settings, someone reads through charts by hand.
How Zenoti fixes it
Zenoti's procedure templates record product, units per injection zone, lot number, expiry date and administering provider as structured fields, and laser notes capture device, settings and pass counts. Before and after photos link to the visit and the chart note, and intake and consent forms go out automatically when an appointment is booked. AI Scribe, a paid add-on, drafts the note from the provider and patient conversation for the provider to review and approve.
“Very comprehensive and designed well for medical aesthetics. Online booking, EMR, memberships, and packages are all integrated and create a seamless patient experience.”Tory C. M., Co-Founder, Managing Director, Medical Practice. February 27, 2026. February 27, 2026. Read on Capterra
The problem
The phone rings while both rooms are with patients
A consult runs long and the front desk is checking someone out. A caller who wanted a filler appointment tries the next practice. AestheticsPro's AI Suite page lists its AI Phone Agent as coming soon, as a premium add-on (checked September 30, 2026).
How Zenoti fixes it
AI Receptionist answers the calls your front desk misses, including after hours. It books, reschedules and cancels appointments, hands the call to a person when needed, and calls unconfirmed patients before their appointments. You start by forwarding missed and after-hours calls from your current phone provider, with no phone migration. HyperConnect keeps calls, texts and web chats on the patient's profile.
“It saves the phone call the front desk doesn't have time for.”Nichole Blatt, Global Communications Manager, Skin Laundry, on two-way texting in Zenoti. Read the case study
The problem
Memberships and packages need someone to manage them by hand
A member wants to pause for a trip, a card expires, a package gets used at your other location. Each one lands on the front desk.
How Zenoti fixes it
Zenoti handles recurring billing and automatic renewals and sends reminders. Members can freeze or skip payments and share benefits with family and friends, and memberships and packages redeem at any of your locations. Stored cards update automatically when they expire (availability varies by country). You set the freeze rules: whether benefits pause during a freeze, whether the payment date shifts or that cycle is skipped, and how many freeze days each member gets. Failed payments follow your retry and dunning settings instead of landing on the front desk. These exceptions — a pause for a trip, an expired card, a package redeemed at another location — are where membership revenue usually leaks, and configuring them once keeps them off the desk.
“As a membership-based business, our customers want to use their membership at multiple locations. Zenoti enables us to do that. Other systems were just clunky.”Harvey Hillyer, Owner, Dermani MEDSPA.
The problem
Patients drift after their first treatment
A patient comes in once, then nothing. Nobody has time to follow up with everyone who is due for their next treatment.
How Zenoti fixes it
Zenoti segments patients by past treatments, skin type and purchases, then sends targeted offers, reminders and pre and post care messages automatically. Automated campaigns can also reach patients who have not visited in months. Rebooking matters: when a medspa guest was rebooked once, 37% of those appointments were later canceled, but when guests were rebooked twice or more, cancellations fell to 4%, so a second automated touch holds the appointment (2026 Beauty and Wellness Benchmark Report).
“Now we can run campaigns that boost appointments on slow days, continue to encourage guests to return and identify opportunities to cross-sell to those with upcoming appointments — all without taking the team’s attention away from guests in-clinic.”Dr. Hannah Vu, Managing Director, SkinZone Medical. SkinZone moved to Zenoti from AestheticsPro. Read SkinZone Medical’s story
The problem
Payroll still runs in a separate system
Hours, commissions and tips live in one place and payroll in another, so every pay period starts with an export.
How Zenoti fixes it
Zenoti Integrated Payroll calculates pay from the appointments, hours, commissions and tips already in Zenoti, files federal and state payroll taxes in all 50 US states, generates W-2s and 1099s, and can pay digital tips out the same day they are earned.

Switching feels risky
Years of charts, photos, memberships and stored cards, and a team to retrain, all while the schedule stays full.
How Zenoti fixes it
A Zenoti onboarding team scopes your data, imports it into a staging environment, configures services, forms and memberships with you, has you validate everything before go-live, and trains providers and the front desk on your own setup.
“The support team has also been helpful and responsive when we've needed assistance.”Aubrey N., Office Manager, Health, Wellness and Fitness. July 3, 2026. July 3, 2026. Read on Capterra

AestheticsPro vs Zenoti: questions medspa owners ask
AestheticsPro vs Zenoti: which is better for medspas?
It depends on how much of the practice you want on one system. Zenoti runs structured injectable charting, before and after photos, booking, memberships, payments and phones on one patient record, with payroll in the same platform, and its AI Receptionist answers missed calls today. AestheticsPro offers a large library of ready-made E-Record forms, integrated e-prescribing and its Kai AI suite, and as of September 30, 2026 lists its AI phone and text agents as coming soon. Both cover online booking, point of sale, memberships, inventory, telehealth and multiple locations.
How does Zenoti pricing compare with AestheticsPro?
AestheticsPro publishes its editions: Pro-Plus from $160 per month for two users, Executive at $285 per month and Enterprise at $350 per month, and notes that some features require an additional fee. Zenoti quotes each practice on what it will run, so ask for a quote in your demo and compare the same set of tools on both.
Does Zenoti have e-prescribing?
Yes. Zenoti sends prescriptions from within the patient profile through Surescripts and supports EPCS and non-EPCS medications. AestheticsPro also offers integrated e-prescribing through AP ERx.
How does Zenoti chart injectables and before and after photos?
Zenoti's injectable templates record product, units per injection zone, lot number, expiry date and administering provider as structured fields, and laser notes capture device model, settings and pass counts. Photos taken in Zenoti link to the treatment visit and chart note, with 200+ face and body guides and a ghosting overlay for consistent before and after shots.
Does Zenoti have AI for medspas?
Yes. AI Scribe, a paid add-on, drafts structured clinical notes from the recorded provider and patient conversation for the provider to review and approve. AI Receptionist answers missed and after-hours calls, books, reschedules and cancels appointments, and calls unconfirmed patients before their appointments.
Is Zenoti HIPAA compliant, and will it sign a BAA?
Yes. Zenoti encrypts chart notes, consent forms and photos at rest and in transit, controls access to clinical records by role, logs every chart access and every photo viewed or downloaded, and provides a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on request.
How long does it take to switch from AestheticsPro to Zenoti?
The move runs in five phases: scope, migrate, configure, validate, and train and go live, with a Zenoti onboarding team alongside you.
One caveat: separate guest-data migration from full implementation. Moving your guest data is fast (often around 48 hours), but configuring services, forms, memberships and go-live can take days to weeks depending on complexity — so ask for the timeline in writing rather than a single "number of weeks" promise.
Can I try Zenoti before committing?
Zenoti offers a live demo built around your practice. It does not offer a self-serve free trial.
Is Zenoti only for large medspa groups?
No. More than 30,000 businesses use Zenoti, from single-location shops to global brands. 5th & Wellness, a single-location medspa, recovered 84 patients with Zenoti Smart Marketing between October 2021 and February 2022.
Location count is not the deciding factor — operational complexity is. AestheticsPro’s published entry price (from $160 per month) is attractive for a solo injector or a two-chair clinic. Zenoti tends to pay off once staff time is the constraint: a second provider, memberships to manage, or missed calls to recover.
Is there a learning curve with Zenoti?
Yes. Zenoti covers a lot, and setup is its lowest-scored area on G2. Practices switching to Zenoti work with a Zenoti onboarding team through setup, training and go-live.
Is Zenoti better than AestheticsPro?
Neither is better in every situation. Zenoti is the stronger fit when staff time is the constraint — membership changes, unanswered calls, and declined cards are handled by configured workflows and an AI workforce that is available now, at one location or many. AestheticsPro is the stronger fit for a practice that wants a published entry price of $160 a month and a library of more than 500 ready-made clinical forms.
Can a two-provider medspa use Zenoti, or is it only for chains?
A two-provider medspa can use Zenoti, and the AI workforce is usually why it makes sense at that size. A practice with two providers and no dedicated front desk has the most to gain from calls, rebooking, and membership admin being handled automatically. Zenoti prices by what a practice uses rather than by a fixed tier.
