Announcing – Our Vice President of Products : Anand Arvind return to top
We are pleased to announce that Anand has joined Zenoti as Vice President of Products. He brings deep expertise in software innovation and driving large engineering organizations. He has 17 years of experience in building software products for enterprises and in managing large global teams in building enterprise class applications in the cloud. Prior to Zenoti, Anand was VP, Engineering at SumTotal where he lead a global development team building talent management applications used by many Fortune 500 companies, and used by more than 20 million end users. Before this Anand worked at Microsoft in building components of the Windows Operating System, and has a background in developing software to simulate complex engineering processes. Anand has an executive MBA from the Indian School of Business, a Masters in engineering from The Ohio State University and a bachelors in engineering from BITS, Pilani.

With Anand’s addition to our team we will accelerate our drive towards expanding our offering into various service industry verticals and delivering more innovative solutions for you.

You can now send a support request from anywhere in the software, our Support team will receive your request immediately and directly. Simply click on the “Support” tab on the right side of the screen – it is available on every page of Zenoti – The system will guide you easily from there on how to submit your request. You can also see the status and track progress of your support incidents online from the software. This eliminates the need for emails and helps us resolve your questions and issues quickly.

About to make an appointment for a customer who has payments due or a birthday coming up? Zenoti now automatically alerts reception with outstanding payments before an appointment is even entered. This makes it easy for reception staff to remind customers to bring in money to close earlier due payments.

If the customer’s birthday is within 30 days of the appointment they are booking, Zenoti will alert reception to wish them and / or make an offer meaningfull to customer.

Zenoti makes it easy to track all partial payments for services, packages and memberships in the system. The software provides reports to review partial payments and amounts due across centers, and emails you new amounts due in the daily reports. You can review each customer’s history of any partial amounts due in their profile.

Zenoti now supports “Prepaid Cards”- customers can now make advance payments, the amount will be put on a “prepaid card”. The software allows you to specify whether a card is a “Prepaid” or “Gift” card. At a later date this amount can be redeemed towards a specific purchase by the customer.

Now you can setup gift vouchers and gift cards to be redeemed only one time, that is no partial redemptions to be allowed.

Doing a service which requires 10 streaks for a customer? Now it is easy to just enter the quantity of streaks after you book a single appointment. Input a single streak for the appointment, adjust the duration of appointment by dragging the appointment size visually and, and during billing enter the number of streaks for the right amount to charge the customer.

Apply Package Benefits to Past Open Tickets return to list
It’s common for a customer to take one service and then buy a package of say 10 treatments. They pay for today’s treatment amount but want to come back and pay the rest of the package balance and get the benefit on today’s treatment as well. You can now you accept partial payments and keep today’s service ticket open. Once the customer pays the full amount for a package, Zenoti automatically updates all old open services against the new package created for the customer.

Prescription Sets return to list
Do you run a medi-spa or offer a service which involves the customer stick to a certain regimen after the treatment or buying certain products or medicines for use as follow-up to a treatment? You can now create individual prescriptions as well as prescription sets, which is a combination of several prescriptions .

With this feature, you can create multiple sets of follow-up services or purchases and ensure that staff recommends one among a set of predefined post-treatment prescription sets to customers.

Now Zenoti automatically sends an SMS to a customer each time he redeems from a membership or prepaid card. This increased transparency reduces the risk of customers disputing any transactions or balance amount.

If your spa or salon uses a “Job Card”, which lists scheduled services for customers, you can easily print the job card through a simple right click in the appointment book. The job card allows the therapist to easily update new services that may have been given to the guest. On checkout the guest can present the job card so that the receptionist can add any services to the appointment and collect payment quickly.

The appointment book now also enables you to filter appointments by job (e.g. hair stylists or masseuse) or by using search tags. You can also tag each employee with “search terms” and use these to group and filter sets of employees.

With a quick hover over any appointment, you can now quickly see the room assignment so that the therapist can take guest to appropriate room quickly.

Biometric integration offers a simple, powerful check in mechanism for your employees that stops employees from manipulating check-in or check-out times. You can now connect a fingerprint reader device to your computer and require employees to check in and out using the fingerprint device. Now employees can checkin at any of your centers easily without having to register fingerprints at each center. It’s that easy, no separate applications are needed and everything works the same - Zenoti continues to track attendance and punctuality based on actual check-in times.

You already know you can set up slabs for commissions on revenue sales and performance. We’ve added additional triggers for commissions based on employee seniority. For example, employees who have worked with you for more than 5 years can be awarded an additional incentive. Each month your HR team has the tedious task of calculating employee payrolls with extra hours, time off, those who worked less time, those who require compensatory offs, etc... Set up rules for calculating extra hour compensation and penalties for working less hours once and let Zenoti automatically track and calculate payroll for you.

Zenoti can even automatically track employees who do not take their weekly off. At the end of the month, a leave report is generated which includes “Special Leave” balances in addition to the standard “Leave Balance”. This enables HR and managers to easily track who is eligible for special leave for having worked extra hours.

Zenoti always made it easy to track employees who are on time and who are habitually late. Now Zenoti makes it easy to automatically penalize employees who are habitually late. Until now, you could map specific services to individual employees. You can now map job roles to employees, who would then inherit the appropriate services. Combining these two capabilities, you can set up unique mappings for each employee quickly.

You can now define nicknames for employee for use in the Appointment Book and Employee Scheduler. Formal HR reports still use the employee’s full name.

In addition to “Job Roles” for each employee, you can also define unique designations for each employee.

If you have multiple centers, you might need an employee to work at multiple centers. You can now enable any employee to be on deputation to a different center for a specific period of time. For that period, the employee schedule can then be setup in the new center.

The employee’s data (commissions, payroll, performance reports etc…) shows up in their primary center’s reports. If there is an accelerator for commissions for the new center, the employee automatically receives the additional commission for the period of time they work in the new center. It has never been easier for HR to deal with employees moving between centers.

Zenoti now insists on an employee having a work schedule set up before they can check in. This ensures there are no administrative errors and ensures managers set up employee schedules properly every week.

We’ve enhanced our discount features. In addition to specifying a target segment to receive a discount and selecting specific services, you can now also specify a specific purchase in order to avail a discount and even specify a minimum amount that a customer must spend in order to receive the discount.

Reports on petty cash expenses by different periods of time, by category and the export feature allow you to analyze and share with accounting. You can also print physical vouchers for each expense and have employees sign and save physically each day in the center.

At a single glance you can see if there were employees who checked in late, how many services were not paid in full for the day, how many customers gave poor feedback, etc... This enables you to get a quick summary of the day without having to review the details in the daily reports.

There have always been detailed accounting reports in Zenoti which made it easy for the accounting team to get details on sales, collections, and redemptions for any window of time. Now Zenoti enables your accounting team to automatically import all accounting data each day into Tally.

Zenoti prepares an import file for Tally for each day’s results; the accounting team simply imports the data into Tally for the latest data.

Zenoti now supports franchises across the area of Inventory Management. You can now create a head office/center which can either transfer or sell products to centers which are fully owned or are franchisee locations. You can now specify different pricing for sale of products to each franchisee depending on your business terms. Further you can even specify different discount levels on the overall Purchase Order and have different tax types for each location that you ship products to . Since your head office is selling products, Zenoti enables you to not only track Purchase Orders but also tax invoices. You can even print delivery challans directly from the software.

You can analyse the costs associated with these purchase orders and also the tax exemption you can claim by reviewing the taxes paid in specific periods of time. You can do the same analysis by different product categories as well. Again your procurement and accounting team need not rely on other systems to do their monthly and annual reporting processes.
