Mercer Island, WA (July 29, 2016) – Zenoti, a cloud-based enterprise management software for beauty and wellness, announced today that Naturals, India’s largest growing network of salons, relies on Zenoti to manage their expanding business. Naturals operates a chain of over 550 salons across India and after having partnered with Zenoti, they are enroute to opening 3,000 salons in the next four years.
Naturals was launched in 2000 as a single salon and in 2009 their business model pivoted into a revenue sharing franchise model to accelerate their growth. By 2010, they were operating over 100 salons and have been implementing this model ever since to materialize their aggressive expansion plans. Zenoti will provide them with the platform they require to build on their already tremendous growth rate of 300 percent.
C K Kumaravel, Founder and CEO at Naturals, shared, “We’re laser focused on expansion and are aligning our systems and resources to achieve this goal. Zenoti is a giant leap towards modernizing our systems. Their mobile, online and personalization capabilities are key components that will propel us into the next phase of our growth.“
Zenoti’s extensive capabilities fulfill Naturals’ requirements of providing personalized marketing through mobile apps and rich online experiences to acquire new clients and to provide enhanced customer experience to existing clients. The cloud-based solution enables Naturals to standardize their operations across all franchises. A shared CRM and cross center reports provide the management with a unified view of their business, helping them with quick decision making. With Naturals predicting a rise in the number of employees to 50,000 in the next few years, Zenoti’s usability will be key in eliminating human error and improving staff productivity.
“We presently employ over 7,500 staff, most of whom are not very technically sound. Even though we saw this as a potential risk to the smoothness of daily operations, Zenoti stepped up to impart the required training needed to equip the franchise owners and over 500 salon managers. The good news is that all the trained staff later turned into happy Zenoti users in 8 weeks. The Zenoti team was passionate about ensuring our successful transition and continues to provide us with great support. Since we partnered with Zenoti, 70 new salons have been launched across India and they were onboarded within a matter of a few hours,“ added, Arvind Kumar, Regional Manager, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at Naturals.
Serving as Naturals’ technology backbone, Zenoti’s scalability will acts as a catalyst to maintain their growth and boost rapid expansion.
“For a tremendously growing business like Naturals, having a trusted technology partner like Zenoti is essential to meeting their expansion goals while staying competitive in the market. And, with their international expansion plans underway, our strong presence in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, is just one of the examples of how great of a fit we are,“ said Sudheer Koneru, Founder & CEO of Zenoti.
Naturals was founded in 2000 by C K Kumaravel and K Veena, whose knowledge of the international beauty industry pioneered a new era in the hair and beauty care industry in India. Over the last 16 years of organizing the beauty industry, Naturals pioneered the unisex salon concept in South India. But the fact that deserves great appreciation is that brand “Naturals” has created over 350 women entrepreneurs and trained 7,500+ staff across India. Thanks to their 25 lakh+ customers. Veena and CK Kumaravel have always encouraged women to be financially independent and created opportunities for women empowerment.
Naturals was established to embark on a mission to enhance people’s appearances as well as their attitude towards life. Today, Naturals is India’s most awarded salon chain and has sub brands like Naturals Lounge, Naturals Ayur, Naturals@Home, etc. All credit to the world class service, courteous staff and the loyal support from our patrons, Naturals now has 550+ salons across the subcontinent and aims to expand to 3,000 salons by 2020.
Founded in 2010, Zenoti was launched to provide an all-in-one business management solution for the spa and salon industry, notoriously plagued by a lack of software robust enough to support the entire business eco-system of operational tasks. Founders, Sudheer and Dheeraj Koneru, experienced first-hand the difficulties in running a chain of spa, salon and fitness centers and reached back to their roots in enterprise software to build a powerful, cloud-based solution that was simple, easy to use.
Today, the Zenoti platform is engineered for reliability and scale, using enterprise-level technology made available to businesses of all sizes from the single location brand to chains with over 200 outlets. Zenoti currently powers thousands of spas and salons in over 30 countries. Zenoti affords the ability to seamlessly manage every aspect of a business from online appointment bookings, to billing through a POS, CRM, employee scheduling and payroll, inventory management, building and deploying marketing promotional and sales campaigns and more. Zenoti clients are able to increase customer retention, customer spend and cut down on costs.
The company is headquartered in Seattle, USA and has 7 offices globally, in the cities of Seattle, Sydney, Jakarta, Kuala Lampur, Manila, Hyderabad, and Dubai. The company has received $6 Million in funding from Accel Partners.
